It’s always a good time to buy a house!

Or so one would think if you listened to Gallup’s opinion poll:

It’s astonishing that even in the depth of the housing bubble, when foreclosure rates soared to record highs (and, more importantly, people’s ability to purchase homes was declining) that a majority of the US still believed buying a house was generally a good idea. This may have something to do with the fact that foreclosures, and the housing collapse in general, was a very concentrated phenomena.
